361 to 50 - Snow to home

A beautiful beginning to the day with snow and fresh mountain air.

Then the long voyage home.  Tomorrow starts the body shaping.

362 to 50 - Peak of the trip

Nothing quite like driving to the top of the world and viewing as far as the eye cam see. Pikes Peak is one of the greatest accessible wonders in this area of the country. Takes your breath away. Literally and figuratively. 14000 feet in altitude reminds you how easy oxygen is as a flatlander.

363 to 50 - A spa & a big cravas

Started the morning with a beautiful and relaxing mineral jacuzzi soak. ♨️

Then finished the day with a death defying crossing of the Royal Gorge bridge.

Also, 50 degrees in late December at 6000 feet?
I'll take it.

364 to 50 - But first a trip....

Getting fit during the holidays is pretty near impossible.  The plethora of food, spirits, candy, travel, and inactivity make it a losing battle.

One way to get your mind and body ready for the routine of eating and exercising is to do some abnormal activities and make yourself crave the normal.  Thus a little trip to the mountains.....

365 to 50

Another trip around the sun.  This time starting the countdown to a half century on the planet by December 25, 2023.  And to commemorate the countdown I'll be doing a post per day on this blog.  Sometimes just a few sentences, sometimes a picture, maybe if I get frisky a video or blog.  But all leading up to the big 5 - 0.

A side adventure is to also document progress to getting in shape.  Yeah sounds like another year, another promise, but this is a year leading up to a milestone worth being photogenic, ripped, and feeling spry.  Those stats will be documented on the "Fitness Progress" tab.

As the saying goes "If you aren't getting better, you are getting worse".  And since I can't get younger, I guess I'll get better just a little bit each day for the next year......
